Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before engaging our services. By instructing KCL Interiors Limited to carry out work, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Company Information

2. Services

KCL Interiors Limited provides plastering, drylining, media walls, statement ceilings, rendering, metal partitions, suspended ceilings, and acoustic soundproofing services. All services are carried out to a professional standard and in accordance with relevant building regulations and industry standards.

3. Quotations

All quotations provided by KCL Interiors Limited are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated in writing. Quotations are based on the information provided by the client and a visual assessment of the work required. Should additional work be required that was not included in the original quote (e.g. unforeseen repairs, additional preparation), we will notify you and provide a revised quote before proceeding.

4. Acceptance & Scheduling

A contract is formed when you accept our quotation (verbally, in writing, or by instructing us to proceed) and we confirm a start date. We will endeavour to meet agreed timelines but cannot be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to adverse weather, material supply issues, or access restrictions.

5. Cancellation

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations or changes made with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a charge equal to the cost of the visit to cover lost time and scheduling disruption.

For larger projects already underway, cancellation terms will be discussed and agreed upon at the point of booking. In all cases, you will be required to pay for any work already completed and materials already purchased.

6. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be agreed upon before work commences. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Invoices are due within 14 days of the invoice date.
  • We accept payment by bank transfer and card payment.
  • For larger projects, staged payments may be required at agreed milestones.
  • A deposit may be required before materials are ordered or work commences.

Late payments may incur interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. We reserve the right to suspend work if payments are overdue.

7. Workmanship Guarantee

KCL Interiors Limited provides a 12-month workmanship guarantee on all completed work, commencing from the date of completion. This guarantee covers defects in workmanship only and does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage caused by the client or third parties.
  • Structural movement, subsidence, or other building defects not related to our work.
  • Issues arising from the client's failure to follow our aftercare advice.
  • Issues arising from materials supplied by the client.

8. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide clear and safe access to the work area.
  • Ensure the property has a working electricity and water supply where required.
  • Remove or protect furniture, belongings, and floor coverings in the work area before work commences (unless otherwise agreed).
  • Inform us of any known hazards, including asbestos, structural issues, or hidden services (pipes, wiring).
  • Obtain any necessary planning permissions or building regulation approvals before work begins.

9. Liability

KCL Interiors Limited carries appropriate public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the value of the contracted works. We shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect or consequential losses.
  • Damage to items not removed from the work area as advised.
  • Pre-existing defects or issues discovered during the course of our work.
  • Delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Variations & Additional Work

Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be confirmed in writing (email is acceptable). Additional work not included in the original quotation will be charged at our standard rates, and we will provide a cost estimate before proceeding.

12. Complaints

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. The terms in effect at the time you instruct us to carry out work will apply to that engagement.
