Built for Builders. Trusted by Contractors.
KCL Interiors is the commercial drylining and plastering subcontractor that main contractors in Dorset keep coming back to — because we do what we say, when we say, to the standard required.
We understand what it costs a main contractor when a subcontractor doesn't deliver.
KCL Interiors was established in Bournemouth in 2020 by tradespeople who had spent nearly 20 years working on commercial projects and understood — from first-hand experience — the consequences of a subcontractor who misses programme, produces poor-quality work or fails to communicate effectively.
We built KCL to be different. Small enough to care about every project personally. Large enough to carry a team and a range of services that genuinely benefits main contractors. And professional enough to operate in the way a main contractor actually needs a sub to operate: with proper documentation, site inductions, method statements, RAMS, O&M contribution and a named point of contact on every project.
Since founding, we've worked with developers, house builders, commercial fit-out specialists and refurbishment contractors across Dorset, Hampshire and the wider South Coast. Our repeat-business rate is high — because when you've found a drylining and plastering sub that works, you don't keep looking.
The People Behind the Programme
Directly employed drylining operatives and long-standing plastering partners — stable, reliable and incentivised to hit your handover dates.
Commercial Operations
Site Management & Operative Teams
Our commercial teams are managed by experienced site supervisors who carry CSCS Cards, have completed SMSTS or SSSTS, and understand the requirements of a busy commercial programme environment.
Experienced Operatives
Stable Team, Consistent Standards
Our drylining operatives are directly employed by KCL. Plastering is carried out by established long-term trade partners — not labour-only day-hire who disappear when another job comes in. Either way, you get the same faces, the same standards and the same single point of contact.
Six Reasons We Keep Getting Invited Back
These aren't sales promises. They're the operational standards we hold ourselves to on every project, every time.
Programme Discipline
We understand critical path. We deliver on the dates we agree. When something threatens our programme, we tell you — not as an excuse, but so we can solve it together.
Stable, Accountable Team
Our drylining operatives are directly employed. Plastering is handled by established long-term partners, not random labour-only day-hire. Same faces throughout, same standards, same accountability — regardless of which trade is on site.
Full Documentation
RAMS, method statements, COSHH assessments, insurance certificates, CSCS copies — provided promptly and accurately. No chasing required.
Spec Compliance
We install to specification, not to cost-save shortcuts. Fire ratings are met, acoustic assemblies are followed, and any deviation is escalated to the design team immediately.
Commercial Output Rates
We staff to programme, not to minimum. If your programme needs eight operatives, we put eight operatives on. We manage resource to your needs, not ours.
Clean & Tidy Working
Our team clears their areas at the end of every working day. We operate the site cleanliness standards your H&S manager expects — without needing to be asked.
